The human form has a direct relationship to a chair. The design of a chair is dependent on the human form and the way that a human interacts with it. The human body and chair are both build out of essential body elements. The human body consists out of two legs, two arms, a torso and the head. The essential body elements of a chair are comprised of a backrest, a seat and legs. We found similarities between these two bodies. By taking these body elements, the body of a chair can be reinvented. We decided to explore the ways in which we can give a chair emotions or humanistic characteristics to let it take on a life of its own.
